Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began at 14 years old. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd was on a stunning 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent in the very first round. Following that, she travelled to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia dominated Aspen to defeat her in an unanimous decision. This put a black mark on Ladd's record for amateur. Ladd bounced back from defeat with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her debut professional bout. Aspen dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to defeat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimity. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She took on Linalansberg in UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina through her ground and pound techniques which resulted in the TKO second round victory. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd was able to defeat Evinger within the first minute and earned a reward for the performance of the night. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Ladd's win was a majority decision and the Fight of the Night award came to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya fell in the third at UFC 7.7 on ESPN. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority verdict.
